Our first Homeschool Mafia Game Night for this school year for local homeschooled junior high and high school students will take place on Friday, October 24th! Here are the details: We're going to meet at Wellspring Bible Fellowship at 2245 NW Kline Street in Roseburg at 6 p.m. on Friday evening, October 24th, in the usual area, the Fireside Room (next to the kitchen). The outside door will be open a bit, so you'll know where to come in. It's the single brown door that faces Garden Valley Blvd., on the north side of the church (not the glass entry doors at the front part of the church. There are handicapped parking spots right next to the side entrance door.) Bring your own dinner, whatever you want for yourself to eat, whether it's a sack lunch from home, something you want to reheat in the microwave, or Subway, etc. We'll eat and visit from around 6:00 - 6:45-ish, and we have the church available for us until 10 p.m. when everyone will help clean up the rooms that we used. Soda, ice, cups, and napkins will be provided for everyone. If you'd like to bring snack foods and/or dessert to share, feel free. I don't think anyone will stop you! ☺ Sometimes, people get "out" fairly quickly in the Mafia game, so bring some board games/table games to fill in the time for those people. Mafia is basically a combination game of tag and hide-and-seek/mystery game. It's a fun tag game that teens really enjoy playing. ☺ Parents are welcome to stay and attend, if they'd like, but that is optional. For Mafia, we like to have a few chaperones roaming the hallways, so generally, we take turns helping out with that. And the parents do enjoy hanging out together and talking about all things homeschooling! Invite your homeschooled friends and be prepared for a fun time with lots of laughs! See you there! If you have questions, please email me, or post your question here for us. Julieanne
