Douglas County Homeschool Co-op
The Douglas County Homeschool Co-op exists to bring families together in a positive learning situation and environment.
The Douglas County Homeschool Co-op occasionally has some openings! If interested, please contact Jodi Smith for more information.
We begin in the fall, and subjects vary each year based on the needs of the current families. We plan over the summer. In the past we have done history, science, inventors, geography, Oregon trail and many field trips. All the topics will be made age-appropriate for each class.
Classes are adjusted each term, depending on age and ability of students that enroll.
Classes are separated by reading and writing skill levels, not by ages.
The co-op begins at 12:45 p.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. on Thursdays at Hucrest Community Church of God on Witherspoon Avenue in Roseburg.
ALL PARENTS MUST TAKE A TURN TEACHING. On the first week of class, we will have an informational meeting before we begin classes.
If you are interested in becoming involved in the co-op this term, or would like more information, please contact Jodi Smith. We have limited spots available, and families will be accepted until the co-op is full.
Directions: From Garden Valley Blvd., if you are headed westward toward Kruse Farms, turn LEFT (south) onto Troost Street. The street will make an S curve, and there will be a brown church on the hill on the RIGHT (west).
