Since a homeschool or community option isn't available, the Roseburg High School band director encourages homeschoolers to join if they are interested in doing so.

Wildlife Safari Educational Classes:  In the past, these classes have taken place among local homeschooling families.  I haven't heard any new information for this school year, so if you would like to get these started again, please contact their education center and arrange class times. Then, let us know so we can add the information here!

LIFE Co-op (Tuesdays)
For the 2017-2018 school year, they will be serving preschoolers through 12th graders!  Learn more here about this Christian co-op.

Umpqua Valley Community Co-op is a Christian-based homeschool co-op that is open to all families.  This is a group who meet together and work cooperatively to achieve common goals.  Ages preschool and older and includes homeschoolers and children with no school during co-op meeting times.  Parents/caregivers join together to provide their children with opportunities for group learning, field trips and socialization. A resource for parents/caregiver to form support chains, network, find helpful tips, information and guidance. Classes are on Wednesdays from 11 am to 1 pm at the Sutherlin Community Center.  Go to their Facebook group to learn more!  The only cost will be any supplies, field trips or snacks for the kids.

Roseburg Christian Fellowship Homeschool Co-op (Friday mornings)
Nursery ages through high schoolers have activities structured around their needs. Roseburg Christian Fellowship Homeschool Co-op is a  Christian co-op that upholds a biblical worldview and strives to bring discipleship into every class.  They welcome all families who coming alongside one another to teach children the ways of the Lord.

Classical Conversations is a classical Christian homeschool community, structured in some ways like a co-op.  This is an in-depth educational program in Douglas County for children, working in cooperation with each parent.  2017-2018 Info Meeting:  Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10 a.m.

     Are you interested in learning French with your children as part of your homeschooling?
     Would you like to be part of a group to meet in person or over video chat so that our children can practice French with someone other than parents?
     One of our local homeschooling parents speaks French and is interested in sharing the French language via  songs, stories, and everyday phrases, using textbooks only as a reference at this point.

Homeschool P.E. at the YMCA!
Two age groups (ages 6-10 and ages 11-18) have weekly P.E. classes on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:00. 
Each month introduces a new Sport or Activity, centered around Cardio-Health, Conditioning, and, Group Participation as well as focusing on a new skill:

Monthly Fee: $10 per student for YMCA members; $30 per student for non-members; registration deadline by the first of each month.  Athletic shoes required.

Homeschool Tennis Lessons

Monday afternoons from 2:00 - 3:00 at our local tennis center! 
$6 per lesson (you receive a bill at the end of the month). Athletic clothes and shoes required.





Social Activities

Homeschool Skating:  This is the largest social activity we hold, on the 2nd Thursday of each month during the school year.  (2nd Thursday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at Parkview Skating Center/YMCA)

Homeschool Bowling:  This once-a-month or quarterly activity takes place at Ten Down Bowling Center on Diamond Lake Blvd. in Roseburg.  Click here to learn more about this activity!
